How To Turn Off PVP (Player Vs Player) In Your Minecraft: Java Edition Server

In this video I will show you how to turn off PVP in your Minecraft: Java Edition Server.

Steps To Turn Off PVP (Player Vs Player) In Your Minecraft: Java Edition Server:

1. If your Minecraft Server is running, stop it by typing "stop" without the quotations into the CMD window or terminal window.
2. Once your server has stopped, locate the folder which contains your Minecraft Server files and open it.
3. Locate the server.properties file and open it with a text editor
4. Find the line of text which says "pvp=true" and replace it with "pvp=false" to switch off PVP in your Minecraft: Java Edition Server.
5. Save the changes you made in the server.properties file and close the text editor.
6. Rerun your server by double clicking on your batch (Windows) or bash (Mac) file if your server is self hosted or by running the following code: "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui" if you're connected to your linux server via a SHH terminal window.
7. Once your server is up and running again, connect your Minecraft: Java Edition server address to enjoy your server without PVP.
