How To Stop Android Adding Newly Installed App Icons To Your Home Screen

In this video, I will show you how to prevent your Android device from adding app icons to your home screen for newly installed apps. By default, when you install a new Android app from the Google Play Store, your android device will automatically create an app icon for that newly installed app on your home screen. To turn this home setting feature off, you must toggle off the home setting known as "Add app icons to the home Screen" for new apps.

Steps To Stop Android Adding Newly Installed App Icons To Your Home Screen:

1. On your Android devices home screen, long press on a blank area with no app icons
2. A drop down menu will then pop up on your Home screen. Tap on "Home settings"
3. In your Home settings, find the Home settings called "Add app icons to the home screen". Once found, tap on the toggle to the right of this home setting to toggle this setting off.
4. Swipe up from the bottom of your Android devices screen, to go back to your Home screen
5. To check if the "Add app icons to the home screen" for newly installed apps feature has been successfully toggled off, simply install any new app from the Google Play Store. No new app icon for that newly installed app should appear on your Android devices home screen.

Congratulations, you have successfully stopped Android from now on, adding newly installed app icons to your home screen.
