How To Show Home Button And Choose Your Homepage In Google Chrome Web Browser

In this video, I will show you to toggle on the Google Chrome appearance setting "Show Home Button". This settings, allows your Chrome web browser to always display the home button at the top of your browser in between the address bar and the refresh button. The home button is a convenient browser setting when turned on, it allows you to quickly navigate to a custom web address of your choice known as your homepage when you click on the home icon. You can also set the home button to take you to a new tab page when clicked on also.

Steps To Show Home Button In Google Chrome:

1. Open Google Chrome
2. Navigate to the top right hand corner of Chrome, and click on the three vertical dots (Customize and control Google Chrome)
3. Click Settings
4. Click Appearance
5. Toggle On "Show Home Button"
6. You will now have a choice of two settings you can set the home button to take you to when it's clicked on. One option, is "New Tab page" and the other is to enter a custom web address into a text box. Select the appropriate option for you, if you go with the custom web address option make sure you enter the full web address of the website and hit Enter on your keyboard.
7. Once you have chosen an action for your home button, close the chrome settings tab and click on the home button at the top left hand corner of your browser to check to see if you have configured it correctly.

Congratulations, you have successfully toggled on your home button and have a set a custom homepage or a new tab page.
