How To Fix [Server Watchdog/FATAL] From Crashing Minecraft Servers - How To Disable Server Watchdog

In this video I will show you how to disable the Server Watchdog and prevent it from crashing your server.

Steps To Disable The Server Watchdog On Your Minecraft Server:

1. Find and open your Minecraft Server Files on your local computer or remote server (VPS)
2. Open the server.properties file with a text editor relevant to your operating system
3. Find max-tick-time=60000 (fourth line down from the top of the server.properties file) and change max-tick-time=60000 to max-tick-time=-1
4. A max tick time of -1 will disable the server watchdog on your minecraft server. Save the changes you have just made to your server.properties file before exiting
5. All that is left to do now is to rerun your server by typing the following command: "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar server.jar nogui" without the quotations into your terminal window or if you're on windows, rerun your batch file to start your server once again.
6. Once your server is up and running again, open your Minecraft: Java Edition Client and reconnect to your Minecraft Server and enjoy playing on your server free from crashes caused by the server Watchdog.

Congratulations you have successfully disabled the server Watchdog on your Minecraft: Java Edition Server.
