f you're having probems with Windows or programs not running correctly, there's three simple commands you can run that will fix easily 80% of most problems with Windows.

It's best to run these in a specific order, starting with Chkdsk. That's because this command checks the basic file system on the hard drive for errors or corruption and attempts to fix them.

Open Start Type CMD Right click on Command Prompt and Run As Administrator Chkdsk /f /r

After that, you will want to run SFC /Scannow. This command goes up one level and focuses next on your system files. This scans and attempts repairs on corrupted or missing system files, ensuring that your Windows is built on a stable and reliable set of system files.

Open Start Type CMD Right click on Command Prompt and Run As Administrator In the Command Promt type: SFC /scannow

And finally you will want to run DISM /RestoreHealth. This goes up to the last level and attempts repairs on the Windows image its self. It will connect to Windows Update online to verify and repair Windows image files against Microsofts official repository of up-to-date and verified system files.
