Back to Some Fundamentals The very basic fundamentals of our faith are these; God is LOVE, He sent His Son to earth to show us the way, to die for our sins, He resurrected from the dead, and He made the way for you and for me to truly follow the way of love, in righteousness, in holiness, and in TRUTH.  Jesus is the Truth, He is the Way and He is the Life.  But if we don’t surrender to Him, if we don’t throw off our old life, then we cannot follow Him.  Jesus said that we daily have to deny our flesh, take up our cross and follow Him.  And that if we don’t count the cost, we are not worthy of Him.  There is a false gospel that has been preached about just grace, and while it is true that we ae saved by grace, not by works of the law, the false gospel says that you don’t have to show your love by your actions, you are just saved through a prayer, you are saved once and for all, and that’s just simply not true.  Jesus said that we have to endure with Him to the very end to be saved.  Walking with Jesus Christ is a choice, that is part of the fundamentals of our walk as a Christian.  Every single day we have to deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Jesus Christ, we have to choose to walk with Him, and because we have a will, GOD HAS GIVEN US A WILL, we have to choose to surrender our will to the work of the Holy Spirit.  Depending on which man or which woman you feed will grow, if you feed your spiritual man or your spiritual woman your spirit will grow, but if you feed the flesh, your flesh will grow.  Are we living for Jesus Christ, are we fulfilling what it means to be a Christian?
