Youtube Community Guidelines Double Standards After seeing the recent video where the singer Jon Bon Jovi helping a women with mental health problems on a bridge i find it strange how the video is allowed to be on youtube dont get me wrong i applaud and approve of Jon Bon Jovi the singer stopping to help and it being shown on youtube hopefully it inspires others to the same thing if they are ever faced with a similar situation what i find frustrating from youtube is i had a video almost identical that i uploaded to youtube in 2014 and after getting over 30 thousand views suddenly in 2021 youtube deleted my video saying it didn't confirm to youtubes community guidelines on self harm you can see my video on my odysee channel link here https://odysee.com/@VPPAF:f/cops:5a so i was surprised that this new video can be uploaded is it double standards from youtube allowing big news channels and or celebrity videos that appear to break the same guidelines that youtube said was the reason my video was removed. I uploaded my video to show the humanity of some school children who stopped to help a man who was threatening to jump off the bridge i hoped it would highlight and inspire others to do the same and i hoped it would show also the often difficult job that the police do and cause debate on the big problem of mental health the world has i never intended to promote or glorify self harm or suicide in my video. the facts of my video was i was on my cycle bike and came across this incident and started to film from below the bridge im not sure how long the man had been there but i filmed these school children stopping to help and phone the police i praise their humanity for stopping to help then after the police arrived and closed traffic to the bridge and started talking to the man they after a while 1 police man managed to grab the man by surprise and pull him to safety where he hopefully then got the support he needed from the proper authorities for his mental health like i say i thought it was important to document the incident for education purposes and hoped it would highlight the problem we have in society with mental health so after my video was on youtube for years i was surprised that youtube suddenly deleted it i appealed to youtube and after highlighting the fact that youtube didn't fully and manually review my video as youtube say they do they dont they had already decided to delete the video and use automated processes but thats another youtube policy that appears to be broken so it appears to me that youtube again are not consistent with their own terms and conditions if you are a celebrity or a big influential channel which i think is wrong any terms and conditions should apply to all youtube channels like i say i approve of any video to be on youtube that opens debate or highlights difficult or disturbing things that the public should be aware of My Odysee channel https://odysee.com/@VPPAF:f
