In this video, we take a closer look at Vallejo Red, Pure White, and Citadel Runefang Steel acrylic paints. Our goal is to test the consistency, coverage, and overall performance of these paints on a plastic model kit. As we begin the test, we notice that the Vallejo Red paint is not covering the model kit as well as we expected. Despite using more paint with Citadel Runefang Steel, the plastic is still visible underneath. However, we did notice that the brush technique used was effective, leaving little redish spots and uneven coat of paint. Moving on to the Pure White Vallejo acrylic paint with Citadel Runefang Steel, we see a similar issue with coverage. The plastic is still visible underneath the paint. However, we again see a better effect with the same brush technique in action. Finally, we move onto the Citadel Runefang Steel acrylic paint and Pure White Vallejo acrylic paint each done alone. These two paintd performed the best out of the three, with good consistency leaving a smooth and even coat of paint on the model kit. While the the paint mix eventually failed the coverage test, the brush technique used in applying these paints was not bad. It's important to remember that brush technique can make a big difference in the final outcome of a model kit. Even if a paint doesn't cover as expected, good brush technique can ensure an better and smoother coat.
