This is a tutorial to show you - 2 features in Logic Pro X and a mindset that I think are very important when delving into the world of sound design.
In this episode I am working on a neurofunk tune which is heavy on the sound design. Often it can be the case that we get lost in our own little world (or at least that's true in my case) and hours may pass as we twiddle and create gnarly sounds in our favourite synths. As fun as this may be, at the end of a 'session' we may have made no real progress with our song and realise that we had the best sound after 2 mins!
So today's lesson is about getting in the mindset of committing to sounds and moving on! To bounce, or not to bounce...
This isn't a deep probe into the greasy mechanics of sound design, just a way of thinking and working.
