Pools are like lawns, everyone loves them, but they can be a major pain to keep up. Not to mention super expensive. My pool was a big pain in my neck when I bought my house, because I found out the pool pump was consuming about 30% of our entire electricity use for our home and office!

So in this 3 part series, I'm going to give you a look at how I'm engineering the perfect pool, that stays clean for minimum money, heated with heat pumps and entirely powered by solar. This has been where my mind has been all summer, so let's get into it!
