I had the extremely original Idea to build a functioning R2D2 from Star Wars. In this first part, we’ll talk about designing the R2D2 model in blender, we started with the body. We will then 3D print the R2D2 model. After printing, we will post process the R2D2 model, by sanding it down, then priming it and continuing this for what felt like a life time.
