Adding Mechanics That Will MAKE Or BREAK My Game

Welcome to a new Zombie Game Devlog for my game The First Horde which you can wishlist on steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2348140/The_First_Horde/
The First Horde is a zombie survival game where you play as the zombie. In this video we explore 5 mechanics and features that I added to my game to decide on whether or not the game is actually worth making.
In this zombie game devlog we start by taking a look at the environment interaction mechanic I added to my game, which allows you to pick items up in the world and throw them at enemies. The first example I created was fire hydrant but this will be expanded on in future devlog to include various other items that can be found in the world.
The next mechanic I added was the main character and it's ability to transform into a zombie and back into a human. This mechanic is one that I'm not sure will stay in the game, but I have it there for now as it will help me to explore any ideas I might have going forward.
The third mechanic I added was Combat which will allow you to fight with the enemy NPC's in the game. We explore the rotoscoping technique I used to create the animations for the attacks, and you get to see me looking like a champ whilst acting out the animation scenes.
The fourth mechanic I added was the beginning phases of the enemy AI which at this point is just the police, the police will seek out any zombie tagged players in the scene and start to shoot at them. I also added health and the ability for the player to take damage and die after taking too much damage.
The fifth mechanic is more of a feature and that is the creation of the steam page for The First Horde.
