Screwin’ Around and Playin’ Around with Fireworks at Michigari's Sea House

Michigari Sea House is what I’d consider to be a “medium” sized world, with a night-time ambience and a nautical theme as its name would suggest. It’s got a video player, a multi-level house, a pool, and a lot of space for groups of people to go off on their own to explore the world or congregate in small groups throughout the premises and surrounding area. The fireworks on the back deck are a fairly enjoyable toy to play with, though we found the box-sparklers to be a bit glitchy even after the fireworks are reset – they’d refuse to light after a couple of tries. The player has their choice of bottle rockets, roman candles, sparkler wands, or spinner fireworks to choose from, with either the candle or lighter to light them. There’s also a few bottles to place the bottle rockets. It’s definitely a great choice for hanging out when you’re in a more chill mood, as you can take advantage of the video player to kick back and relax and watch stuff on the big screen.
Think we were hanging out Wednesday this week – I joined a world instance with Saturn Storm and Ntron and we spent most of our time in the back playing with fireworks. A couple friends joined in along the way, but it was mostly a chill day. Michigari’s Sea House is a pretty decent hangout world – a nice little scenic nautical night time backdrop, but the main attraction for us were the fireworks. Gonna be honest? My major criticism about the fireworks themselves was that I had to actually add my own sound effects in the making of this video due to how quiet or subdued they really sound in game. There’s a body pillow and a video player, a pool, a bowl of chips, and a small assortment of fireworks, all inside or on the grounds of a sea-side house.
While real life fireworks are far more fun and enjoyable, not to mention dangerous, while in VR, it’s fun to play around with them. What’s more impressive to me is the world creators replicating what a firework would do in VR, with some creative liberties on what’s possible or realistic in some cases. This sorta plays into footage I’d record to review a world and it’s faults or plus’s, sometimes joined by friends, but I never got around to it getting it going. Guess there’s no better time than the present, right? Apart from us hanging out and screwing around with fireworks, there’s not a whole lot more to it. The impression the video gave me was like something out of Jackass, with us shotting each other with fireworks. Either way, enjoy!
A big thank you to Saturn Storm and Ntron for letting me record them and being a part of this.
