On the morning of September 8th, 2010, 19-year-olds Ethan Walton and Amanda Burney left Amanda's home to finalize a land deal with their neighbor, Glen Gouker. Unbeknownst to them, Gouker had sinister plans in mind.

Once at Gouker's home, Ethan went to sign paperwork while Amanda waited in the truck. Amanda was then lured inside by Gouker under the guise of watching the signing. Upon entering, she discovered a gravely injured Ethan. Gouker then revealed his true intentions by drawing a gun on Amanda.

What followed was hours of brutal sexual, physical and psychological abuse. Amanda was repeatedly sexually assaulted and restrained. Ethan was beaten unconscious. The next day, Ethan was dead and Amanda managed a daring escape while Gouker was away.

Amanda fled to a neighbor's home and the police were called. Ethan's body was found bound in a barrel. Glen Gouker was arrested and charged with rape, kidnapping and first-degree murder. His wife Michelle was also arrested as an accomplice.

Gouker had a long criminal history of sexual violence. During his trial, another victim testified of a similar 1990 kidnapping and assault. Gouker ultimately pleaded guilty and received multiple life sentences.
