Language Hacking: Figuring out why gcc -O3 was causing a bug

I had to fix a bug in the compiler when in "release" mode... Turns out that setjmp/longjmp can have different effects based on the gcc optimization setting!

I love learning little nuggets of information like this. I guarantee I won't forget this one!
