First Patch with Qu-Bit Data Bender - already love it!
The Unperson
I've downsized my modular into an fx/processing rack, for the time being. I've still got a few changes to make, but so far I m very happy with my new set-up. I also really dig the flat case - so much better for filming.
I decided to buy the Qu-bit Data Bender for a different vibe of processing, and my first impressions are very good. I previously had a Morphagene (i just love slowing shit down and speeding shit up and chopping lil loops) but I did not click with it at all. The data bender allows you to change the pitch in real-time, instead of recording reels, and this suits me waaaay more. It's also got distortion, bit crushing, and other interesting stuff going on. I'm thinking of getting Pamela's New Workout for clock and modulation, and a stereo compressor. Also, i think I'll exchange QPAS for Mutable Blades. I like QPAS, but it's not got a typical filter sound. Blades has variable filter types, so I can change HP to LP without having to patch. It's also got lovely distortions, wave-folding and loads of interesting tricks.
