How to DESTROY The MAGA Machine
The Ring of Fire
The right has CPAC. Turning Point USA. Billionaire-backed media empires. Meanwhile, progressives can’t even get people to show up to a Zoom call. Farron Cousins discusses the brutal truth about why the left doesn’t have its own media megaphone—and why it’s costing us big. From billionaires bankrolling right-wing lies to progressive influencers who think they’re too important to collaborate, this is why the left keeps falling behind while MAGA builds a propaganda machine. It’s not just disappointing—it’s dangerous.

The rise of conservative media here in the United States is not something that happened overnight. It is something that the Republicans, the right wingers, conservatives, think tanks, corporations, they built that up over decades because they had the money, they had the power, they had the influence, and they found people willing to go out there and say the dumbest things we've ever heard of that defy reality. And it became a winning formula. And to this day, there is nothing comparable to the right wing media machine on the left. And that is exceptionally unfortunate. Uh, not just for those of us on the left, but for the entire country. There is nothing that can hold a candle to the power of the right wing media, echo chamber. That brings me to another question from one of our viewers. This is from the dysfunctional biographer 3 3 1 4, who says, if the right has CPAC and other big get togethers, why don't progressives and liberals have any similar conventions?
Because we don't have any money. And that may seem like a snarky response, but that's true. We don't have any money. You know, do you know why Republicans always like to go after George Soros? Because he's literally the only high dollar person that funds Democrats or Democratic causes. And the things he funds these days, of course, are few and far between, but we got one guy. Meanwhile, Republicans have basically every single CEO in this country. You know, the vast majority of Wall Street hedge fund managers, they've got every casino mogul from Las Vegas, and they've got these well-funded think tanks that are being funded by multi-billion dollar corporations. Oh, and Republicans have every tech bro as well, including the three richest people on the planet. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. Republicans have all the money, and through their various different think tanks and Super pacs and other bs, they're able to fund these things like CPAC.
And that's why they get to put them on several times a year. They have several Turning Points events every year, and they bring out these Republican politicians who come out on stage to rock music and fireworks shooting up out of the stage. Like it's a Aerosmith concert. But it works. And that's what sucks about being on the left, is we can't do that because we don't have the funding. Not to mention, even if we did have the funding, we probably wouldn't do it. Do you know why? And I'm telling you this from experience getting any of us together is like herding cats.
Let me give you a prime example of that. Earlier in this year, I got a, uh, a, a proposition from a a, an individual who wanted to do something like this, wanted to do a big get together of all these progressive media personalities, you know, wanted to plan it. And they reached out to me and I was like, hell yeah, I love that idea. This sounds awesome. Keep me in the loop, let's get it figured out. And eventually after some discussion, you know, we're like, okay, well maybe for the first one it should just be like a digital thing, like a, a group zoom call and let's, you know, maybe open it to the public, maybe not. Um, we had that zoom call on, uh, uh, May 2nd, 40 40. Actually more than 40 progressive media personalities were invited out of the 40. I will tell you every progressive media personality that showed up for that zoom call far and cousins. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-pwks65_Xs
