I am going to show you how to turn on automatic updates for your chrome os installed with brunch release.

CRTL ALT T to open the Terminal

shell

sudo edit-grub-config

add options=enable_updates directly after cros_debug

make your changes, then use ctrl + x to close, y to save and enter to confirm.

reboot to see your changes

Boot to Chrome OS

Go to settings

About Chrome OS

And check for updates
