Modern computational methods in physics part 1: Diagonalization
The Logical Approach
Hi everyone!
Jonathon Riddell here. Today we will take a look at two algorithms used in modern research, full spectrum exact diagonalization and the Lanczos method. The first algorithm allows us to compute anything we want exactly for modest system sizes and the second allows us to study the ground state of larger systems. We open the video explaining why these topics and algorithms are both interesting and necessary.
