ServiceNow Use Case to update the email domain for users | ServiceNow tips and tricks | ServiceNow

Hi All, Hope you are doing fine. I will come across requirements this month and as I was creating a solution for the same, I thought it will be better if I can share the same experience with my friends. So the use case is as follows, In our Servicenow instance we have 1000s of companies and in the last few years, a few company names get changed as a result of which the domain of the user email id will also get modified. We got a requirement where we have to find the solution for the same. We have to write a ServiceNow script to update the domain to the new domain. Suppose for eg there was a company called XYZ and the domain for the employee id will have the domain as @xyz.com, but now if the company name got changed from XYZ to ABC, we cant to update the domain from @xyz.com to @abc.com. For this, I have written a fixed script with some javascript regex logic to replace the old domain with a new domain.
