Hope you are doing fine . In todays tutorial we will be exxxploring a usecase around GlideAjax.

So the usecase is pretty generic we want to add validation on the change requesr planned start date that we shouid not be able to select date on weekends as we dont wanna work onm any changes on weekend.

Lets First understand the GlideAjax in ServiceNow and GlideAjaxxx function called getDayofWeek

"GlideAjax" is a client-side scripting API in ServiceNow that allows users to make asynchronous server-side calls from the client-side scripts. It enables developers to send a server request and receive a response without reloading the entire page. This results in faster performance, improved user experience, and reduced server load.

"getDayOfWeekLocal()" is a method in the GlideDateTime API of ServiceNow that returns the day of the week in the local time zone. This method takes no parameters and returns a string value representing the day of the week (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, etc.). The GlideDateTime API provides a variety of methods for working with dates and times, including formatting, parsing, and arithmetic operations.

Using GlideAjax and getDayOfWeekLocal() together, developers can create scripts that make server requests to retrieve data and perform calculations based on dates and times, all while using the local time zone of the client. For example, a script could use GlideAjax to retrieve a list of dates from the server and use getDayOfWeekLocal() to determine the day of the week for each date, all in the client's local time zone. This helps ensure that date and time information displayed to the user is relevant and accurate for their location.
