Complete Guide: How to Install Debian 12 with Graphics Card, Steam, LOL and Epic Games Compatibility

In this video i will teach you how to install Nvidia Drivers on Debian . Install and make steam games , epic store games and league of legends games to work, show you how to use live wallpapers/animated wallpapers on desktop and how to install 3rd party stores like Flatpak and snapd.

Commands:

Install gedit: sudo apt update -y , sudo apt upgrade -y , sudo apt install gedit (we need this for our text editor and installing drivers)

Install sudoer: sudo gedit /etc/sudoers

Install flatpak (more apps). IMPORTANT Make sure you open SOFTWARE ⁠before adding lines in terminal: apt install flatpak -y , apt install gnome-software-plugin-flatpak -y , flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Installing Snap Store (even more apps) : sudo apt update -y , sudo apt upgrade -y , sudo apt install snapd , sudo systemctl start snapd , sudo systemctl enable snapd , sudo systemctl status snapd (This command is to check that everything works) , sudo snap install core , ( from here you can use terminal to install apps , for example sudo snap install spotify, but we can still make it easier by adding a shop icon with an interface) sudo snap install snap-store , sudo reboot

Nvidia Drivers: Go to https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers , apt install linux-headers-amd64 , Remember when we installed gedit? Here is where we need it so, do like this, tipe sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list , this will open a word like document , here simply add the line: deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free non-free-firmware (For unstable version of debian) or deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ bookworm main contrib non-free non-free-firmware (For debian 12 stable) , then save it, after this we simply do: sudo apt update , sudo apt install nvidia-driver firmware-misc-nonfree , after this, reboot sudo reboot

Gnome extension: go on https://extensions.gnome.org/ , what i use is : Dash to Panel and User Themes

Install Surfshark : open terminal and type : sudo apt install curl , then simply type curl -f https://downloads.surfshark.com/linux/debian-install.sh --output surfshark-install.sh #gets the installation script cat surfshark-install.sh #shows script's content sh surfshark-install.sh #installs surfshark
