How to use pfSense & SearxNG to run you own secure search engine

Would you like a little privacy using a search engine? Would you like to check more than one search engine at the same time? Stay tuned and I will show you how to setup a local secure search engine

sudo apt update -y sudo apt upgrade -y sudo apt install docker.io -y sudo apt install docker-compose -y sudo apt install git -y cd /usr/local git clone https://github.com/searxng/searxng-docker.git cd searxng-docker/

do this before bringing up searxng the first time

If you don’t do this, the searx page will start to come up but only give you a blank page

sed -I "s|ultrasecretkey|$(openssl rand -hex 32)|g" searxng/settings.yml

#install searxng sudo docker-compose up -d
