How to use LiFX with MyCroft

Configure LiFX bulb using the LiFX app before beginning

Here are two ways to setup LiFX to talk to MyCroft

Option 1 Install LiFX bulb skill using this MyCroft skill https://market.mycroft.ai/skill/lifx-mycroft

Or

Option 2 "Hey Mycroft, install Lifx skill" or "Hey Mycroft install lifx mycroft skill" You will be asked to confirm the install, say yes Mycroft will advise when the skill install is complete

To remove skill, repeat the process but use the word remove instead of install

Command Examples • "Turn off the NAME_OF_BULB light." • "Set the NAME_OF_BULB yellow." • "Turn down the NAME_OF_BULB light." • "Increase the bedroom light temperature." lifx-mycroft also uses Contexts (i.e. remembering the last light it controlled) so you can stage several commands • "Turn on the NAME_OF_BULB light" • "Now turn it red" • "Dim NAME_OF_BULB light"

Turn on Bedroom Light , Turn Bedroom Light red,  Lower Bedroom Light brightness by 25

Note: If you would like to see what is going on with MyCroft, login to the Mycroft on Rpi by using a SSH client, once you are logged in, you can see what MyCroft is hearing and doing.
