How to Setup the Ambient Weather WS-0265 For Your SmartHome

Setup of the Ambient Weather WS-0265 unit

1. Download Ambient Tool and Ambient Weather apps for your SmartPhone
2. Plug power supply into Ambient WS-0265 device
3. Make sure your SmartPhone is on a 2.4Ghz based SSID
4. Open Ambient Tool app
5. Tap on Add device button in the app
6. Follow the directions on screen to connect to WS-0265
7. Once the configuration is finished, the clock in the WS-0265 will be set automatically
8. Put batteries in the outside sensor
9. The outside sensor should automatically connect within a few minutes to the WS-0265 display

Register Ambient Weather WS-0265 to AmbientWeather.net

1. Go to www.ambientweather.net
2. Click on Create Account button
3. Enter Mac adddress on your unit (should be on a sticker on the back of the display)
4. Enter just the letters or number, don’t worry about using : or -
5. Click on Next button
6. Enter Device name and location
7. Click on Next button
8. Enter email address and password for this account
9. Click on Create Account button
10. Click on Ok button on pop up window

Register Ambient Weather WS-0265 with Weather Underground

1. Click on Devices
2. Click on Weather Underground
3. Click on the Register at https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/mypws link
4. Click on Join
5. Enter username and password
6. Click on I agree to terms of service
7. Click on Signup for free button
8. Close out Welcome screen by clicking on X in upper right hand corner of window
9. Click on Add a New PWS button
10. Drag Red dot to your location on the map
11. May need to enter city, state, country to get you in the general area to place your weather station
12. If Chrome doesn’t show you the map, you may need to switch to another browser like Firefox
13. Click on Verify button
14. At Step 2 screen, select the WS-0265 for station hardware
15. Enter neighborhood name
16. Click on Submit button
17. Record Station ID and Station Key in a safe place
18. Open a tab in your browser to www.ambientweather.net
19. Click on Devices
20. Click on WS-0265 (or whatever name you gave it)
21. Expand Weather Underground tab
22. Enter Station ID and Key
23. Click on Connect
24. If you get an error about invalid id or unable to login, you may need to wait for about 10 to 15 minutes for the login credentials to be active
25. Once the ID and key are active, you should almost immediately be able to connect your WS-0265 to Weather Underground
