How to setup StreamDeck and Phillips Hue
TechBytes with Ron Nutter
These directions assume that you have already setup your Phillips Hue Bulbs and have enabled the Phillips Hue service on IFTTT.
- Login to ifttt.com
- Click on New Applet
- Click on +This
- Search for Web
- Click on Webhooks
- Click on Receive a web request
- Enter name of name - i.e. PhillipsHue_Chair
- Click on Create Trigger
- Click on +that
- Search for Phillips
- Click on Phillips Hue
- Click on Toggle lights on/off
- Select Bulb or Group
- Click on Create Action
- Open a tab in browser to https://ifttt.com/maker_webhooks
- Click on Documentation
- Enter name of the applet you just created in the {event} field
- Click on the Test IT button at the bottom of the screen to confirm the settings
- Copy the https://maker.ifttt.com line at the bottom of the page
- Enter the Sream Deck Configuration program
- Look under System for Website
- Drag this to an available key on the profile you are working on
- Enter name of Light in Title field
- Past the https: line you copied previously into the URL field
- Check the access in background option
- You should now be able to activate the light from StreamDeck
