How to setup Hubitat, SmartThings Motion Sensor and Safety Monitor

These instructions were made using a Samsung SmartThings Motion Sensor v1

1. Pair the Samsung SmartThings Motion sensor to Hubitat
2. Rename the Sensor to something descriptive to where you have it placed
3. Click on Apps
4. Click on Add Built-In App button
5. Scroll Down and click on Hubitat Safety Monitor
6. Click on Done to install the Safety Monitor
7. Click on Hubitat Safety Monitor
8. Click on Intrusion-Away
9. Click on Motion Sensors
10. Click box beside Samsung Smartthings Motion Sensor
11. Click on update
12. Enter custom message to send
13. Enter phone number as shown on screen
14. Press Tab key
15. Click on Done
16. Click on Light Alerts
17. Click on Lights to flash
18. Check box beside the light you want to flash
19. Click on update
20. Click on Done
21. Click on Done

How to reset the SmartThings Motion Sensor If the SmartThings Motion Sensor didn't connect to the Hub when you removed the pull-tab, reset and connect the device manually. • If the product sticker on the back says “Samsung SmartThings”: 22. Remove the cover 23. Hold the connect button for five (5) seconds 24. Release the button when the LED starts blinking red • If the product sticker on the back does not say “Samsung SmartThings": • If the device has one cell battery (CR2450): 25. Remove the battery 26. Hold the button while reinserting the battery 27. Release the button when the LED lights up • If the device has two AAAA batteries: 28. Hold the button until the LED turns off (about 6 seconds)
