How to Link Ambient Weather to Alexa For Your SmartHome
TechBytes with Ron Nutter
- Open a web browser and go to ambientweather.net
- Login to your account if requested
- Click on Your Device
- Click on Off beside Alexa
- Click on Visit Amazon Alexa Skill (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074PGCM1D/)
- Click on Enable
- Click on Authorize App when the dashboard.ambientweather.net tab opens
- You will see another tab open where you will see a message that Ambient Weather has successfully links
Enable the skill to get started: say ‘Alexa, ask Ambient Weather… weather report.’This will provide you with your outdoor weather report. You can ask for your indoor weather report as well by saying, ‘ indoor conditions’. Here are some sample commands:
• Weather Report • Outdoor conditions • Indoor conditions • Yesterdays weather • Conditions for October 15, 2017 • Conditions for September 2017 • Conditions for 2016 • Change default device to {the name of your device}
