How to keep your Dropbox account from being hacked

In this episode, I should you how easy it is to setup and use two factor authentication with Dropbox.com.

SMS 2FA (required 1st option)

Login to dropbox.com Click on your initials in upper right hand corner Click on settings Click on Security Turn On Two Step verification Click on Get Started Enter password for dropbox Click on Use Text Messages Click on Next Enter number for smartphone Click on Next Enter token value from SMS message Click on Next Click on Next to skip backup phone number Save backup codes to BitWarden Click on Next Click on Next

Software Token

SMS 2FA (required 1st option)

Login to dropbox.com Click on your initials in upper right hand corner Click on settings Click on Security Click on Edit on preferred method Click on Use mobile app Click on Next Scan QR code in software 2fa app Enter code provided in app in dropbox Click on Finish

Hardware token

Login to dropbox.com Click on your initials in upper right hand corner Click on settings Click on Security Click on Add beside Security key Click on Begin setup Enter password for dropbox.com Click on next Put hardware token in USB port Click on Key Inserted Tap button on key when prompted Click on Allow Enter name for U2F key Click on Finish
