How to keep FreeNAS up to date in your SmartHome

It is important to keep FreeNAS up to date. To keep from running into problems that have been fixed in updates released since your install or possibly new features that have been added are both good reasons for applying updates. I show you a couple of extra steps to take just in case you experience a boot flash failure or need to apply the running config to a new or existing system in case of an unforseen situation occurring.
