Introduction to Robot Combat & How to Get Involved

Today’s video is intended for two purposes. Number one: Many people like me who have been involved in Combat Robotics for years and take this sport seriously often run into other people who have never even heard of it, and we all end up having the same conversation over and over, so hopefully this video will provide the background info needed to convince you and all your friends that this is the coolest sport in the world. Number two: To show casual TV fans of the various combat robotics shows that his sport exists at lower levels, and at a smaller scale, spread all over the world. Weight classes ranging from 150 grams or 1 pound (454g) and 3-pounds or 1.5kg are actually easy enough and cheap enough for almost anybody to get involved with.

I'll also provide links to a ton of resources below for any information you may need in order to find local combat robot events to attend (follow any and all COVID guidelines relevant) and how you can get started with your very own robot build or kit!
