I’m Steven Koon and I work Big Data every day at my job. I routinely work with platforms like Microsoft MSSQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Netezza, Teradata, Elasticsearch, Mongo, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Nifi and many other. Basically, whichever tool can best meet the need for me to consume, transform, move or create data.

I’ve also spent a lot of time, researching and educating myself on these tools and feel it would be great to share what I have learned in order to help others learn as well.
