Move Taskbar to Top Windows 11
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to move the taskbar to the top of the screen in Windows 11. In Windows 10, you can do this by simply changing the taskbar settings. Unfortunately, this isn’t available in Windows 11 at this point in time.
Path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3

So to change the position of the taskbar, you need to adjust the setting in the registry editor. You can also move the bar to the left or right of the screen.
Click on the Windows search icon and type in Registry editor. Click on it. Keep in mind that changing settings in the registry editor is always a bit risky. So, make sure to remember what setting you changed for when you are having problems and want to go back to the previous setting.
We need to navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3
Double click on the settings key. Here we need to change the 03 value which is placed beneath the FE value.
To do this, place your cursor in front of the 03 value. Hit delete and type in 01. 01 Is the value that places the taskbar to the top in Windows 11. Click on ok to confirm the changes.
After doing this, you can restart your PC to implement the change. If you don’t feel like rebooting, you can also restart the Window Explorer process. Right-click on the Windows icon and select Task Manager. Scroll down until you reach Window Explorer. Select it and then click on restart.
If you want to change the taskbar back to the bottom, you need to change the value from 01 back to 03. It’s also possible to change the taskbar to the left or right side of the screen. To do this, you need to change the value to 00 to place it at the left or to 02 to place it at the right.
Keep in mind that changing the taskbar to the left or right is quite buggy at the moment with icons not showing and crashes occurring.
This concludes our move taskbar to top in Windows 11 tutorial. I'm inspired by creators as TechGumbo and Tech Insider.
