Step #1 Temp Files and C Drive
In the first method, we start with an absolute must if you want to speed up and keep your PC as fast as possible. We need to do a clean-up of the C Drive. Usually, the Windows 11 installation is done on the C drive. This installation drive is sensitive to an overload of files or low disk space in general.
Step #2 High Performance Plan
In the second method, we start with the high performance plan. Usually, Windows 11 has a balanced power plan by default. We are going to change this to a plan that prioritizes a fast performance over balanced energy consumption.
To do this, click on the Windows search icon and type in Choose a power Plan. Here, you need to look for the high performance plan. It’s possible that you need to click on the show additional plans arrow to see it. Check the box next to High Performance Plan.
Step #3 Start-Up Programs Windows 11
The next one is quite easy, and it is something that you should always do on every PC. We are going to manage the start-up programs. Doing so, we ensure that certain programs don’t automatically start, or that they aren’t running all the time.
To do this, right-click on the Windows icon and select settings. On the left side of the screen, click on apps, followed by clicking on Startup.

To do this, right-click on the Windows icon and select Apps and Features. So, in the apps and features menu, you can uninstall applications that you don’t use. Click on the three dots icon next to the applications you want to uninstall and select Uninstall.
Step #5 Disable Transparency Effect to Increase Speed
In this method, we disable the transparency effect in Windows 11. The transparency effect, makes Windows 11 look slightly better, but it uses system resources, which in turn makes your PC slower.
Step #6 Visual Effects
In the next method, we manage the visual effects in Windows 11. By disabling some of them, we achieve a slightly faster performance. Click on the Windows search bar and type in view advanced system settings.
In the Advanced tab, click on settings underneath Performance. This brings you to the Visual Effects menu. Check the box next to Adjust for best performance.
