#1 Drag Two Fingers to Scroll Setting
In the first method, we check if the drag two fingers to scroll setting is set. To do this, right-click on the Windows icon and select Settings. In the Settings menu, Click on Bluetooth & devices.
Go down until you reach Touchpad. You can click inside the window and use the arrow key to go down if necessary. Click on Touchpad. After that, click on Scroll & zoom to open the menu. Here, make sure to check the box next to Drag two fingers to scroll.
That is it for the first method. You can check if this fixed the two finger scroll not working problem. Just in case, now would be a good time to restart the PC.
#2 Update Touchpad Driver
Next, we are going to update the touchpad drivers. Click on the Windows search icon and type in Device Manager. Click on it.
In Device Manager, search for Mice and other pointing devices. Click on the little arrow next to it, to open the dropdown. It’s possible that you have multiple devices in here. For a laptop, you should at least see the device for the touchpad.
Right-click on the touchpad driver and select update driver. In my case, the name is Elan I2C Filter Driver but I can have a different name on your laptop.
Select the first option, Search automatically for drivers. With some luck, new drivers are found and installed.
If not, you can click on search for updated drivers on Windows update. In the Windows update menu, you need to click on the search for updates or install now button. After that, you need to restart your PC.
#3 Reinstall Touchpad Drivers
In the next method we reinstall the touchpad drivers. Right-click on the touchpad device once more and select Uninstall Device.
Check the box next to Attempt to remove the driver for this device. When you do this, Windows 11 automatically reinstall the device and driver after reboot. This may be a different driver, but that doesn’t matter.
Click on uninstall to continue. If the device doesn’t reappear, you need to restart your PC. Hopefully, this fixed the two finger scrolling not working in Windows 11 problem.
