Hello and welcome to this tutorial on how to fix OBS black screen in Windows 10
The first method to try is starting OBS as an administrator. You do this by right-clicking on OBS and selecting “run as administrator”. If the issue is, access related this is the possible solution. For quite a few people this did the trick for solving the OBS black screen.
The second method to fix the OBS black screen is easy as well. In this fix, you start the OBS software in compatibility mode. This means that you start the software as if you are using Windows 7 instead of Windows 10.
Next, we have a solution that works for people with an Nvidia graphics card. Open the Nvidia control panel by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting the Nvidia control panel. In the Nvidia control panel, you need to click on “Manage 3D settings”, select the OBS software. Then, you need to switch the preferred graphics processor to “integrated graphics”. Restart OBS and hopefully no black screen.
A similar solution applies to people with an AMD graphics card. Right-click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings. In Switchable Graphics Application Settings, you need to select OBS or again add it manually if it doesn’t appear in the list. Then you need to change the Graphics settings from high performance to power saving. Restart OBS and with a bit of luck, this solves the black screen issue.
Click on Windows in the left corner and type in “Graphics settings”. In the graphics settings menu, you adjust the performance for OBS from “high performance” to “power saving”. Do this and restart OBS to see if the black screen problem is over. This is another fix that works for many people. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MlahsjDkcE
