Step #1 Network Troubleshooter The first method that we try is using the built-in network troubleshooter in Windows 10. These troubleshooters aren’t always the best but they are a good place to start.
Click on the Windows search bar and type in: network status. Here, you want to select troubleshoot. The troubleshooter does a few basic checks as it tries to diagnose network settings.
Step #2 WLAN AutoConfig Service
In the next method, we are going to make sure that the WLAN AutoConfig service is set to active. The WLAN AutoConfig service provides the logic to discover, configure and connect to network adapters.
To do this, click on the Windows search bar and type in Services. Scroll down until you reach WLAN AutoConfig. Right-click on it and select properties.
Change the Startup type to automatic if possible. After that click on start. Also, make sure to click on Apply and ok when you are done. You can now check if your missing WiFi in Windows 10 is back.
Step #3 Disable/Enable WiFi Connection
We continue with the next one, which is to disable and enable the WiFi connection in the network connections.
Click on the Windows search bar and type in: Control panel.
Change the View by to large icons. After that, click on Network and Sharing Centre. Click on Change adapter settings on the left side of the menu.
Right-click on the WiFi adapter and select Disable. Wait about 10 seconds, then right-click on it again and select Enable.
Step #4 Update WiFi Driver
In the next method, we are going to try updating the WiFi driver. Search for Device Manager in the Windows search bar. Click on the little dropdown arrow next to Network adapter. Right-click on your wireless adapter and select update driver.
If you have a working Ethernet cable, you can start with the first option, which is to automatically search for updated driver software.
Right-click on the WiFi adapter once more and select update driver. This time, we’ll take the second option, Browse my computer for drivers. Next, click on Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer. Select the driver that you want to install and click on next. After this, you can check if your missing WiFi problem is solved.
