In this tutorial, we are going to solve the fatal Javascript error occurred when using Discord. Usually, this is related to corrupt application files in Discord, or in some cases, it might be that a different application, most likely a virus scanner causes issues.

Step #1 Uninstall Discord In the first step, we are going to uninstall Discord. To do this, right-click on the Windows search bar and type in Apps & Features. Scroll down until you reach Discord. Click on it and select uninstall.
Step #2 Delete Appdata Before we reinstall it, we need to delete some files to make sure that every corrupt file is gone. If you skip this step, you risk having the same temp files which could result in a fatal javascript error.
To do this, we need to open Run. Use the keyboard combination Windows + r to open a run window. Type %appdata% and hit Ok. Here you need to delete the Discord folder.
Step #3 Delete LocalAppdata Hit Windows + r once more and type in %LocalAppData%. Click on Ok. Here we want to do the same as with the AppData folder and everything mentioned before applies to this folder as well. Select the Discord folder and delete it.
Step #4 Reinstall Discord to Fix Javascript Error In the next step, we are going to download the latest version of Discord. Open your browser and go to www.Discord.com. Click on download for Windows. After that, complete the installation and you should be good to go.
