After opening Davinci Resolve you need to open a project. This can be a new one or an existing project just make sure that you have at least one file to test the changes. The settings that we want to check are in the edit tab. Here you have the timeline view options.
The location of the timeline view options can be different depending on the version of Resolve. The symbol should be the same though, so search for this. The first setting that we want to check is the audio waveforms setting.
When you click on it, you activate or deactivate the waveforms in your audio. So start by clicking on this and check if this made a difference on your audio. Unfortunately, you can’t really see when this is set on active.
If it didn’t fix the davinci resolve no waveform problem, there is one more setting to check in here. It is possible that Resolve somehow set your track height to zero. This was the issue for me. With the Slider you can increase the size of the waves from zero to maximum.
Hopefully, your Davinci Resolve no waveform in audio problem is back to normal. Let me know if you have any questions or comment.
