This Artificial Heart Will Soon Be on the Market in Europe
Mr. Singularity
š Think this Artificial Heart tech is ready for the consumer market yet? š
š The artificial heart is developed by a French firm named Carmat and is intended for people with end-stage biventricular heart failure. Like a normal heart, there are two ventricles in the artificial heart, one for hydraulic fluid and the other for blood. There are four "biological" valves, so named because they are also made of cow's heart tissue. Carmat's artificial heart will be commercially introduced in Germany and France in the second quarter of this year. The company has obtained clearance from the US Food & Drug Administration to launch an early feasibility study in the US this year, with plans for a possible commercial launch by the end of this year.
Thanks and Enjoy š„ š„
