Today marks a momentous occasion as Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been freed! 🎉✨

In previous videos, I shared my rather somber predictions about Assange's fate. Given the legal battles and the intense scrutiny he faced, it was hard to imagine a positive outcome. But I am thrilled to say I was wrong! Julian Assange has been released, and this is a significant moment for journalism, freedom of speech, and for all those who have stood by him through his arduous journey.

About Julian Assange: Julian Assange is an Australian journalist, publisher, and activist best known for founding WikiLeaks in 2006. WikiLeaks gained international attention in 2010 when it published a series of leaks provided by U.S. Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning. These leaks included the infamous "Collateral Murder" video and detailed reports on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which shed light on the realities and consequences of these conflicts.

Assange's work with WikiLeaks has had a profound impact on global journalism, bringing to light government and corporate secrets that would have otherwise remained hidden. However, his revelations came with significant personal cost. Since 2012, Assange had been confined to the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, seeking asylum to avoid extradition to Sweden over allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied and which were eventually dropped.
