NASA on Wednesday (24 November) launched a Space X Falcon 9 Rocket with the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) Spacecraft on board with a mission to crash into an asteroid at 15,000 miles per hour. The Spacecraft would be the first to alter an asteroid's path. The mission would cost $324 million. The DART space probe will visit Dimorphos, besides another asteroid Didymos, in September or October 2022. If DART mission was available to dinosaurs, may be they were still on our planet. If the DART mission is successful, it would qualitatively raise the NASA capabilities pertaining to its planetary defense. Check out our website: https://www.southasiannewsnetwork.com/
