Making bowl turning blanks using an axe and a dull chainsaw

Last week I dug out a plum tree stump and it’s already starting to split because of the global warming. So it’s time to carve this thing up in a couple of bowl turning blanks, before it becomes totally unusable. Now watch how I cut up a stump using a blunt axe and a dull chainsaw.
