How To Stop Being Insecure As a Man (At Work) And Step Into Your True Powers...
Jean-Paul Blommaert
In Today's Video Let's Talk About How To Stop Being Insecure As a Man. Related to work, career, passion, purpose, etc, and step in your true creative powers. As always I would not talk about these life challenges if I didn't have to experience myself first. So, please bear with me as I share a lot of personal challenges as well. The reason I share them is for the lesson and the insights it gave me. And of course, you have something to relate to. The documentary I mentioned: https://bit.ly/Watch-Initiation-At-Gaia. How I ended up creating nature relaxation videos?
Graduating in 2008 from Shipping & Logistics Management led to a job in a Dutch Shipping Company. There were definitely moments I enjoyed my responsibilities as a shipping agent but this was also the time I started to struggle with depression and anxiety.
13 months later I left the shipping industry and decided to start an internet business because I was sold on the idea of having the time & financial freedom. 2 years later I finally made some money on the internet selling online advertising programs.
After my ego got a boost and I finally received the recognization and approval of my father I lost all my motivation and became even more depressed and burned-out.
From 2012 I began a journey of spiritual seeking, healing, and awakening.
In 2013 I decided to come to London to start a new life with my current partner. However, during that time I was still dealing with my burnout and anxieties. This continued for several years. Therefore in 2015/2016, I decided to go back to The Netherlands trying to make it work "back home." Back where I came from but feeling even more disconnected from that place where it all began.
However, during that time I was also living very close to the dunes and the beach. This is where something new started. I picked up a camera to speak my mind about my personal development journey but once I stopped to take a photograph from a puddle on the beach. I felt a relaxation or a connection I never felt before.
This is where my interest in nature/landscape photography and film making began. It became a journey of not only learning new things but also unlearning things. Unlearning to "cut with my past thinking, habits and behaviors."
