Muslims claim that Muhammad is the best interpreter. However, in practice, they often ignore his alleged words and come up with their interpretations of the Quran. Surah 3:35-36 (Arberry): When the wife of Imran said, "Lord, I have vowed to Thee, in dedication, what is within my womb. Receive Thou this from me; Thou hearest, and knowest."  And when she gave birth to her she said, "Lord, I have given birth to her, a female." Surah 3:45-47 (Arberry): When the angels said, "Mary, God gives thee good tidings of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; high honoured shall he be in this world and the next, near stationed to God. He shall speak to men in the cradle, and of age, and righteous he shall be." "Lord," said Mary, "how shall I have a son seeing no mortal has touched me?" "Even so," God said, "God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing He does but say to it 'Be,' and it is."

Surah 19:27-28 (Arberry): Then she brought the child [Jesus] to her folk carrying him; and they said, "Mary, thou hast surely committed a monstrous thing! Sister of Aaron, thy father was not a wicked man, nor was thy mother a woman unchaste."

Surah 66:12 (Arberry): And Mary, Imran's daughter, who guarded her virginity, so We breathed into her of Our Spirit, and she confirmed the Words of her Lord and His Books, and became one of the obedient.

Exodus 6:20 (ESV): Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father’s sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years.

Exodus 15:20 (ESV): Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing.
