Nostalgia Unleashed: Stories of our First Commodore 64s - Vintage Computer Stories
RavenWolf Retro Tech
Step back in time to an era when computers were a novel adventure and the Commodore 64 was my ultimate dream machine. In this video, we bring you a treasure trove of personal vintage computer stories and reminiscences from vintage tech enthusiasts who remember the thrill of acquiring their very first Commodore 64 computers in the early 1980s. From recounting the initial skepticism of parents and grandparents to finding ingenious ways to save up for the coveted machine, these stories capture the essence of a time when owning a home computer was a badge of honor.
From convincing family members of the educational value of a computer to navigating the challenges of obtaining software through creative means, these tales provide a snapshot of the innovative spirit that defined the era. As we hear about the struggles and triumphs of owning a Commodore 64, it's clear that these experiences laid the foundation for lifelong passions and careers in technology. Whether you're a seasoned retro computing enthusiast or someone curious about the roots of modern tech culture, this video invites you to relive the excitement of a bygone era.
This is a new series called Vintage Computer Stories (VCS). I have been collecting interviews and working out how to do a video of this type since 2022 so I hope you enjoy it. If it is well received then I plan to do more videos like it (Although I don't plan to spend as many hours on them as I did on this one)
We all know that these old computers did it better!
