Just recently TradingView announced that you can use other indicators as a source of your custom PineScirpt indicators. This approach works for indicators with protected code as well. In this video, I show you examples of how you can use this feature to make alerts and strategies based on indicators with protected code. Unfortunately, there are some limitations to this approach. You can use data only from studies and you get only 1 external value as a source at a time. But still I think it can be pretty useful for many cases.
