In this video, I show you how to get gOHM on the Avalanche, Fantom, and Polygon networks, all for very low gas fees. If you're like me, then you love Defi 2.0 protocols that are working towards becoming a new type of currency, that is a decentralized reserve currency. The whole point of a decentralized reserve currency is to create a currency that is backed by other assets and is able to hold its purchasing power over time regardless of market volatility. OlympusDAO was the first of its kind. They created the vision and paved the way for these Defi 2.0 protocols. Currently, there are very attractive APY incentives for staking the Olympus token, OHM. Both sOHM (the staked token) and gOHM (the wrapped, staked token) earn rebase rewards every 8 hours. Such rapid compounding is what leads to high APYs. The problem is that OlympusDAO is housed on the Ethereum network. Thankfully, the gOHM token which collects those rebase rewards is available on other cryptocurrency networks besides Ethereum.
