Fauci on Cycle Thresholds of the PCR Test "Anything Over 35 is Dead Nucleotides”

False positives are a far bigger problem than many would like to accept. This can be mostly attributed to the cycle threshold. So, lets just go over again quickly how these tests work.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) works by taking nucleotides, these are tiny fragments of DNA or RNA, and then replicate them until they become something large enough to identify.

This replication is done in cycles, with each cycle doubling the amount of genetic material.

Cycle threshold is the number of cycles it takes until something identifiable can be found.

The fewer cycles it takes to discover something identifiable, the more likely that what is found is of significance.

The MIQE guidelines for PCR usage[2] state:

Cq values higher than 40 are suspect because of the implied low efficiency and should not be reported,” - gene-quantification.de[2]

Everyone's favourite Doctor, Mr Anthony Fauci said in an interview back in November that a cycle threshold of over 35 is going to be detecting “dead nucleotides”, not a living virus.

And yet, what has most of the World been using as their threshold limit for positive infection?

You guessed, typically 35, but sometimes as high as 40.
