OpenWindows User Training (Sun Microsystems, 1990)
Nix Classics
A 1990 training video from Sun Microsystems that demonstrated the use of the OpenWindows desktop environment on SunOS. OpenWindows was the end result of the OPEN LOOK specification, which was a look and feel that AT&T and Sun collaborated on to produce a graphical standard for the UNIX operating system. It was the first time that any graphical standardization was attempted, but was superseded on SunOS by the Common Desktop Environment (CDE) in 1993, and eventually the GNOME desktop environment in 2001.
